Gumo's take
The Angel Hotel Cardiff is a historic 3-star hotel located in the heart of the city, just across from Cardiff Castle and within walking distance of major attractions like the Principality Stadium and city center. It is known for its welcoming staff, formal restaurant with a dinner buffet, and 24-hour room service. While the hotel has a strong location and some guests praise the service and cleanliness, many reviews highlight the need for renovation, particularly in the rooms and bathrooms, and recurring issues with air conditioning and soundproofing. It suits budget-conscious travelers and those prioritizing central access to Cardiff’s landmarks over modern amenities.
